Copper carafe with cup hammered, 1.1 l

According to the Ayurvedic tradition of India, copper has always been considered a special material. Water that rests in a copper vessel for a longer period of time is said to take on the qualities of the metal – in India it is called “Tamra Jal”. To this day, storing water in copper vessels is an integral part of many daily rituals.

This handmade carafe is made of pure copper and holds approx. 1.1 l. The copper lid can be practically used as a drinking cup. The hammered look makes the set a real eye-catcher on any table or sideboard.

According to Ayurvedic tradition
In Ayurveda, copper water is considered Rasayana and is said to harmonize the three doshas. Traditionally, it is credited with, among other things, supporting digestion and skin health. These statements are based on Ayurvedic tradition and do not constitute medical claims.

Application
Fill the carafe in the evening with still, non-acidic drinking water, let it rest overnight and enjoy the water the next morning. Use the carafe consciously and with breaks.

Important notes

• Only fill with still, non-acidic water – no juices, lemon/vitamin water or carbonated drinks, as these can dissolve copper from the material.
• Do not store water in the carafe for longer than overnight.
• In case of skin reactions or discomfort, discontinue use and seek medical advice. Persons with copper metabolism disorders (e.g. Wilson's disease), pregnant women and children should consult a doctor beforehand.
• Not a medical product. For household use only, not leak-proof.

Cleaning
Copper naturally loses its shine over time. If necessary, rub the outside with salt and lemon or a little baking soda, rinse it off and dry it thoroughly. Not dishwasher safe.
